After Schmidt Brothers Roofing closed its doors, Bernie saw more than an opportunity to start a business, he saw a chance to continue serving the families and businesses of Central Illinois. He purchased the company's equipment and founded Coady Roofing with a simple philosophy: treat people right, do quality work, and always stand behind your craftsmanship.
Bernie's commitment to serving others extended far beyond roofing. As a firefighter serving the Springfield community, he dedicated his life to protecting others both on and off the job. That same spirit of service, integrity, and hard work became the foundation of Coady Roofing and continues to guide the company today.
Over the years, Bernie earned the trust of homeowners and businesses by doing what he promised, taking pride in every project, and treating every customer with honesty and respect.

With more than 30 years of experience in the roofing industry, Mike has dedicated his career to helping homeowners and businesses protect what matters most. Since leading Coady Roofing in 2007, he has remained committed to the same values his father built the company on: honesty, quality craftsmanship, and treating every customer with respect.
While Mike has an experienced crew handling installations, he still personally meets with customers, performs every estimate, and oversees nearly every project. He believes every roof deserves individual attention, and every customer deserves honest recommendations, not unnecessary repairs or replacements.
As an Atlas Diamond Contractor, Mike combines decades of hands-on knowledge with premium roofing products to provide lasting solutions backed by exceptional warranties.
